About

Are you ready to make changes in your life, career, or business, but looking for extra support to guide you forward?

Health and wellness coaching offers you a way to move forward & provides motivation to support you in achieving your goals.

Therapy vs Coaching

Therapy and counseling are deep and powerful tools to reshape your past, help you through present hurdles, and support you in becoming the person you want to become. Therapy is offered by licensed practitioners who often hold master’s and doctorate degrees in their field.

Coaching is less focused on the past, and more about helping you to overcome obstacles in the present so you can reimagine and create your best future. It is about enabling you to make positive steps in your life to make necessary changes.

Services

Chinese Medicine is a whole person system of care. When you engage in a course of treatment, your practitioner will not only address your main complaint, but also discuss holistic solutions including diet, lifestyle, and exercise.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture and herbal medicine are customized to your needs. In general, appointments last for about 50-60 min and include time to check-in, discuss treatment goals, 20-40 minutes of needle retention, and custom herbal prescriptions are available upon request.

Herbal Medicine

Herbal prescriptions are filled by Chautauqua Pharmacy and Crane herbs because of their attention to detail, customer service, and high-quality products.

Coaching

One-on-one sessions with ICF-trained coaches. During your coaching engagement, you can expect to identify goals and develop meaningful plans that assist you in creating lasting change and improvements in your daily life.

J. W.

Patient

I have a super complicated medical history that was undiagnosed and untreated by my western docs. Tuesday persisted to recommend specific providers and diagnostic tests and treatment which led to a successful pregnancy and improved medical care with my entire health team. I am so grateful to Tuesday for her guidance, advice, and treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is my appointment?

  • Initial sessions take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and include a detailed intake with the practitioner, treatment, and recommendations for diet, herbs, and supplements as needed.
  • Follow-up sessions take approximately 1 hour and include an intake with the practitioner, treatment, and recommendations for diet, herbs, and supplements as needed.

How many appointments will it take to see results?

  • Acute conditions generally resolve in 4-6 sessions; pain-related complaints typically yield immediate reduction of pain within 1-2 sessions.
  • Chronic conditions, including auto-immune diseases, hormone imbalance, and complex fertility cases, typically require several months of treatment to reach homeostasis, but clients report improvements in sleep, energy, mood, and quality of life early on in the treatment process.

How frequently should I come in for treatment?

  • Acute cases such as sprains, strains, and injuries, respond best to more frequent treatment: 1-3 times per week for 1-4 weeks.
  • Chronic conditions may respond better to more frequent treatment up front, then spacing once the current flare-up/symptoms are under control: 1 time per week for 3-4 weeks, then 1-2 times per month as needed.

What forms of payment do you accept?

  • Cash, Check, and Credit Card (including FSA and HSA cards).

Do you take insurance?

  • We currently bill insurance as out-of-network providers only.

Who do you treat?

  • Until recently, Tuesday exclusively treated women, and occasionally infants and children.
  • Currently, our practice is open to all new patients who are ready to make meaningful and lasting improvements in their daily lives.
  • *If unsure about your specific condition, please feel free to schedule a free no obligation consult, and we can provide recommendations and referrals if more specialized care is needed.
  • Tuesday has extensive training and practical experience working with all aspects of women’s health; especially conditions related to auto-immune diseases, hormone regulation, fertility, pregnancy, and the treatment of postpartum persons and infants.

What should I wear to my appointment?

  • It is best to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.
  • Not to worry, we have gowns and drapes should you need to remove any articles of clothing to access specific acupuncture points.

How is coaching different than therapy?

  • Coaching does not replace therapy; on the contrary, it can be helpful to undergo a series of coaching while in therapy. Therapy often supports clients in understanding more about themselves and to better understand how their past is affecting the present time.
  • Coaching is about helping you develop plans and build motivation to succeed in achieving your goals.
  • Therapists often have master’s and doctorate degrees allowing them ample education and training to support you with clinical diagnoses and also have training to help you through traumatic experiences.
  • Coaches have an entry level of certificate education that is primarily focused on helping you to progress forward without lens for understanding mental health factors and past traumatic experiences.

What can I expect from a coaching session?

  • Coaching can be offered as a one-time session or as a series of sessions to help you through various life challenges.
  • You can expect to communicate with your coach before the initial session through written communication, prompts, and maybe even assessments to help your coach better understand your needs and goals.
  • The session itself may be scheduled for 1-hr or 30-min.
  • After the session, you can expect an additional 2-30 min of your time needed to organize your thoughts, make notes, and record your insights from the session.
